When I asked my neighbor, a huge Weezer fan, which record we should cover, he rattled off about five of their biggest hits, but then he smiled and said ‘but there’s nothing like driving down the freeway at 80 miles an hour with ‘Hash Pipe’ cranked.’ That stuck with me when it came time to decide. Keyboardist Steve Porcaro had this to say: “Covering Hash Pipe was an absolute blast. Ours drops Aug 10th, and I hear KROQ is getting thousands of requests from the teaser we recorded the other day - who knew? Kudos to Steve Porcaro for running with this as the Producer.” Gratitude to the fans for embracing this fun little accident. Now I guess we have to do some crazy mash up live someday.

Thanks to Weezer, their manager Jonathan, and their fans as they have been really nice to us…and they didn’t have to be. It is an unlikely collaboration, but some of the best ones are unexpected. But I speak from a great deal of personal experience that its very hard to get through a job while high on coke or heroin and to a lesser extaent meth. now, most prostitutes including the one this song is about, are addicted to heroin cocaine or meth. I've got my hash pipe- this is the only part of the song that mentions drugs. You've got your big jeans- im not sure what that means I've got my ass wide- he sure gets fucked a lot Oh, come on and kick me- the person feels down about himself? and thats why he says "where tricks are for kids" funny but sad. it's not super comon to see a prostitute under 14 though. There are quite few homeless teenage prostitutes out there, most are 15-19, but ive seen boys as young as 11 selling themselves.
